Sustainability is no longer about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues – it is a business model. In Dynapack Asia, Sustainability is embedded in every aspect of operational activity and adopted in our business strategy by applying responsible practices. In 2018, we started our journey to most sustainable rigid plastic packaging company, so we strive to put sustainability as a base in every decision-making process at each level of employee in our company to deliver products that are eco-savvy.
Our Approach
We care about the planet and want to significantly contribute to addressing global issues about climate change, plastic pollution, and human rights in an ethical way. We believe that our approach will shape our business and products, constantly agile and continuously improving to shape a better. Through our actions, we reinforce our commitment to sustainable management and apply the best environmental and safety management practices across all our operations. Dynapack aims to be part of the solution as the world strikes a balance between economic development and environmental management.

Dynapack Asia Sustainability Pillars
In Dynapack Asia, we believe the combination of business model transformation and good governance involvement has the potential to improve the societal transformation needed for environmental sustainability and human rights. We focused our strategy and action on Environmental, Social, and Good Governance (ESG) and integrated the framework into Dynapack Asia’s Value.
In Dynapack Asia, we practice a holistic approach to environmental management. We emphasize life cycle analysis to measure environmental impacts across the entire life of a package or material, energy, and water users across the entire lifespan of a product, from manufacturing to transportation to end-of-life. We set the goals so that we could gradually reduce the emissions, creating a greener way of operation and actions.
Plastic recycling has grown rapidly over the past few decades. Recycled plastics are turned into new products such as automobile parts, packaging, clothing, and more, which creates positive economic outcomes and manufacturing jobs, so we decided to also participate in the area where we could drive collaboration and be economically sustainable and socially inclusive. We are aware that the amount of recycled plastics has increased every year since the 1990s. Recycling plastics (or any material) helps reduce waste and energy use and lowers greenhouse gas emissions.
We operate The PET recycling project as our first pilot to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of PET recycling. Dynapack Asia collaborated with our partners to demonstrate the recyclability of PET plastic packaging. We are all committed to the success of this program and look forward to adding recycled, flexible packaging into the circular economy. In this program, we also maximize the social aspect by embracing ‘local sorter’ scattered in several locations in Indonesia, where we also give education about sustainability, including human rights and labor, and a glance at technology and financial management to them.
The pilot program began in late 2021 with sorting equipment and proper machinery installation. After an internal testing period, The PET Recycling Facility will begin accepting PET plastic waste. This facility and program are expected to grow by collaborating with our customers and various companies.
In Dynapack Asia, we realize that Sustainability is not always mean the count of carbon emissions, but it is also about linking the business with social stability. We try to strengthen our bodies and comply with government regulations where we operate and, respect humanity, strive to make our work environment decent and productive. According to UNGC principles, we believe that human right is one of the keys to unlocking the impact of interconnections. We want to be ambitiously stepped forward but want to ensure that a goal does not undermine progress and another the contrary, it will support and strengthen each other.
